Living Life as a Tech Diva

Hello!
I'm Nicole Scheffler - the Tech Diva - a Digital Renaissance woman passionate about future technologies and the humans who lead through them.

By day, I'm a Global Managed Services Executive at Cisco, where I've spent nearly 20 years building real infrastructure for real enterprises - across networking, cybersecurity, and managed services. I operate at the intersection of complex systems and the people who run them.

The Tech Diva mission has always been bigger than any job title. What started as a community built for women in tech, grew into a broader movement for women everywhere - and has since evolved into a platform and system for anyone who wants to build success on their own terms, with the mindset and framework to make it happen. I believe real success is not just about climbing - it is about making it count.

From my Masters in Information Technology from University of North Texas to my 20+ year technology career, I have seen first hand how technology truly changes the way the world spins. I am someone you can count on to bring the best technical solutions and thought leadership to drive execution. I have been fortunate to have spent a large portion of my career at Cisco in engineering and leadership, with a few chapter in between at two other major tech firms - Palo Alto Networks and VMWare. I have also had about 5 years of adjunct teaching at the college level with courses on Networking, Security, Project Management, and Information Warfare. My recent work certifying as a Success Coach has given me clarity in helping more women become successful in the field of technology. In addition, I have gained great knowledge and success in collaborating with Kathleen Norton-Schock on the Diva Tech Talk Podcast over a 5 year period talking to women from so many walks of life in careers in technology.

Leading and motivating others in my blood and everyday I work towards positively impacting our world.  In my 16 years at Cisco, I have served as a thought leader and a formal leader in Strategy and Planning as well as leading a technical team. It has been an honor to design and partner with several Fortune 500 companies to secure and design network infrastructure that helps them serve their customers, people, and even improve their supply chain. I have been lucky to lead in the community through community organizations with my successful record of leadership and volunteerism outside Cisco. I founded one full Non-Profit, a 7-time award wining podcast, one technology user group, held many various Board Positions, and advocate constantly for Women in STEM fields. One of my favorite quotes is "One person can't do everything, but everyone can do something." You only get one life and I want to make everyday of mine count towards making the world a better place. As a mom and wife, I also dedicate time to my precious family and find ways we can give back together.

There are a few things about me you should know. I love collaboration, efficiency,  and I like to look at solutions with unique perspective. I love to walk the talk. Now, I am back at Cisco where we are always innovating with our technology solutions and how we sell through talented Global System Integrators (GSIs) and empower our customers with World class technology. The AI Era is really changing how we handle Network Security and the value of a platform solution.
